The Poles - Atlantic Beach, FL

One of NE Florida's best surfing spots. Located in Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. The poles (seen in the first photo) seperate the public park, south of the poles, from the Mayport Naval Station to the north. Years ago the Navy would chase surfers out of the water if they crossed the line. Now they don't seem to bother. December 14, 2011.
